December 5th: Installed an Incandescent, Black, Heat Bulb in the Hive

Concerned about how much light was leaking out of the pipe, from the standard 75-watt bulb, in the hive heater, and thus up into the hive, I replaced it with this:

It produces virtually no visible light, yet it seemed to produce at least as much heat as the standard 75-watt incandescent bulb.

I ordered a 100-watt version of this from amazon.
